THE ILLUSTRATED MAP
FOR ROMANTIC TASTERS
We wanted a different map of our wines and of the places where we live. With a different size, style and content. A tool dedicated to those who choose a wine to feel good, to come closer to nature and to learn about a place. This is how our illustrated map was born. A weekend in September we hosted the five illustrators who, after meeting us and learning about our wines, created the illustrations for the map.
The checkered picnic table cloth by Ilaria Falorsi, the little guy on his bike by Ilaria Faccioli, the friends sitting on the sofa by Giulia Sagramola, the fork in the glass by Irene Moresco, the grapes and red bottles by Stefania Tonello.
The map looks like a geographic one printed on both sides of about 70 x 50 cm folded in a square of about 16,5 cm per side. The style is colorful and linked to the world of illustration. The content isn’t limited to in-depth analysis of the winery and wines or traditional tourist information. On one hand there’s the presentation of the winery with the wine and the people, on the other hand some tips on the places for a picnic, the cycling paths, the street food recipes of the venetian tradition to go with the wines. There’s also a small venetian wine glossary for tasters from outside.
The graphic design is by the Milan based Due Mani non Bastano (www.duemaninonbastano.it).
